Dr. Mike L. Hardin, the founder and driving force of Tax Visions, has over 30 years of experience in the field of taxation, including not only tax preparation, problem solving and client representation, but also as an instructor of both annual and ad hoc seminars for tax professionals covering tax law, regulations, rules and procedures. Formerly a Professor and Tax Specialist at Oklahoma State University, now in private practice, he holds 2 Bachelor of Science degrees, in addition to a Masters and PhD. He is an Enrolled Agent, licensed to practice before the IRS.
His reputation among tax pros is such that he is frequently contacted by accountants, lawyers, and other tax practitioners for consultation. This variety and depth of experience, combined with his up-to-date knowledge of the ever-changing tax law, enable him to untangle tax-related problems, issues and situations which others may find too perplexing or confounding to resolve. In fact, Dr. Hardin likely deals with more problematic tax situations in one year than most people see in their entire lifetimes.
Mike recently held the position of chairman of the National Extension Advisory Committee on Federal Taxation. This committee cooperates with IRS and coordinates the writing of the Farmer’s Tax Guide (IRS Publication 225), which is distributed nationwide to more than 300,000 tax professionals, farmers and ranchers. His tax law specialties include agriculture tax issues, non profits, small business tax planning and compliance, choice of business entity, retirement and estate planning.
Tax Visions offers not only tax assistance and tax form preparation for individuals, businesses, farmers and ranchers, but also tax planning services and representation of taxpayers before the IRS and state taxing authorities. Tax Visions also offers consultation for practicing tax professionals, as well as development and presentation of customized training seminars for businesses and other organizations.
Mike has dedicated himself to increasing knowledge about taxation:

- for policy makers and enforcement officials through courses to help them understand their own laws and regulations
Mike is involved in education of taxpayers through many different avenues – seminars, radio and television programs, and articles in newspapers, professional publications and magazines.
Author and Reviewer for the National Income Tax Workbook for the last 4 years, Mike has participated in the planning and editing of the book since 1983. He teaches tax update seminars to more than 3000 CPA’s, attorneys and tax professionals each year. Frequently an expert witness, lecturer, and scheduled guest on national radio talk shows, Dr. Hardin currently lives in Stillwater, Oklahoma.
